The theme for the Lollipop Box Club this month was Bon Voyage. I decided to recycle the box that all the delightful contents came in again – this time I have turned it into a travel journal.
I took inspiration from the kit and also recycled a road atlas of Britain – with modern technology in one of the cars this is no longer required. I’ve covered the inside and outside of the packaging to make the cover of my travel journal. The spine has been decorated using the chevron fabric washi tape that I had leftover from the Alice’s Tea Party kit last month. I’ve made lots of pages to go inside the book to add photos, etc to later. The cover has been decorated using just some of the lovely elements in the kit.
I have a little more work to do on this before it is complete. I want to add a couple of pockets to the inside front cover to be able to add postcards of the places we visit and stamps to send them to people. The back cover I will probably also make a pocket to put in any leaflets that I pick up from places we visit.
Inside this months kit there was also a lovey little journal notebook which I thought I would decorate and use as a travel notes book – to keep a record of times, dates and useful information that you often read but can never remember when it comes to scrapbooking the photos.
I have also completed another picture using the Alice’s Tea Party kit. Everything apart from the large rabbit stamp came in the kit – it’s been so much fun playing with the kits and I still have some more projects with the few elements I have left over from this one.
