DH has gone away again this weekend to play trains again – this time in Derby. It meant yesterday evening I was able to enjoy several hours working on my Guess the Theme giveaway piece. A couple of people have already guessed that it is a sampler but what type of sampler. This giveaway isn’t just for stitchers – if there are cardmakers, scrapbookers, quilters or any other crafters out there I will try and make sure the prize is suitable for your preferred craft. I will leave this giveaway open until my birthday which is later this month.
Somehow I think todays photo will certainly give it away and if you read my news from yesterday that will also give you a clue as to what type of sampler it is. The design is from an old issue of Cross Stitch Gold and is such a delight to stitch. Just like the Cornwall Cottage Sampler it has lots of individual motifs so each time I complete one it will be like a mini finish every time. My update shows the central panel which is just so cute. I prefer to do the backstitch as I go as backstitching is my least favourite part but without it the design would obviously not stand out so wonderfully.
The Little Stitcher is having having a Spring Sale - couldn't resist and I have purchased a couple of her sweet designs - Alice in Wonderland and Winter Wood. I really enjoyed stitching The Wizard of Oz - it was a fun stitch and quick to do so I am sure my new purchases will be just as enjoyable and quick.
