Going crackers

A while ago I bought a Tonic cracker die with the intention of making them up for my work colleagues Christmas treat.  The cracker die actually gives a four sided cracker but I have taken one of the sides off and then attached six of them together to make a larger cracker as illustrated on the Create & Craft programme which tempted me to buy the die in the first place.  I still have a fair amount of decorating of the crackers to do which will keep me occupied for quite a few evenings yet.  The leftover side of the cracker I’m hoping to make a matching Christmas card out of but I’m not yet sure about all the little squares that come out after cutting each cracker.  I think by the time I’ve made all of the treats up I will have 864 of them!

Fabulous Tags

Today I have been down to Scrapbook Magic for Margaret’s monthly tag workshop.  We have made a total of 26 wonderful tags throughout the year, using different products and learning new techniques – it’s been a fabulous experience as with any of the workshops Margaret runs.  If you are ever down in Cornwall on holiday or live within daily travelling then I highly recommend checking out Margaret’s class schedule and booking yourself in – it can only enhance your holiday/day.
Todays tags look so much better in real life as the camera hasn’t really picked out all the lovely sparkle that is on them.

Finished–just making up to go.

I have finally finished the cross stitching element of Elisha’s Christmas stocking.  It took a little longer than I had hoped as I ran out of one of the red threads and wasn’t able to go anywhere to buy some more until Friday.  The gold backstitching seemed to take forever but it was certainly worth the effort.  Next week I will search for some backing fabrics for both stockings and hopefully I can make a start on assembling them as proper stockings next weekend.
I’ll now give myself a break from Christmas stocking stitching now and who knows I might even get back to working on some of my long outstanding WIP’s.  I have lots of Christmas paper crafting projects I need to work on over the coming weeks which will be fun – it’s great to have hobbies to while away the cold winter evenings.
