Yesterday we managed to make the most of a rare sunny day. We caught the bus out to Yelverton and then walked from Yelverton to Tavistock, stopping off at the Halfway House inn for lunch. It’s another dog friendly pub that we can add to our list. The food and the drinks were very tasty and we were made to feel very welcome. The owner even came out with a doggy treat for Max – a gravy bone – which he accepted but then dropped to the ground. We explained to the owner that he likes them broken up (can you tell we have a spoilt doggy) and the owner very obligingly broke it up into three pieces which Max then gobbled up. It was so nice to be out in the sunshine and we had already walked from Yelverton to Grenofen before but the route had stopped there. It has since been extended so we were able to carry on walking to Tavistock. We then caught the bus back into Plymouth.
A couple of stitching updates, firstly the Christmas stocking – I’m really pleased with the progress I made last weekend. It’s back to raining here again today so I am hoping to get some more of it done this afternoon.
On Wednesday evening while crafting with my friends I was able to add some more stitches to the 7 Virtues cross stitch. This one is now almost at the halfway point.
